To me a male dog is like a stallion, theyre more glamorous and take more time to get shown. But Ratch Ratch was different. I had been watching both of his parents for quite some time. Love them both. Oliver needs no invitation, and Tali is by one of my favorite dogs out there. So to me this seemed like the best of both worlds. When he became available for the second time Ireached out to Blackboots and was able to work something out with his breeder and now he is home with me.
So far Ratchet has proven to be a quick learner and very willing to please. I am very excited to see where the future holds with him. Watch for him as his sire's owner Lacey Kafer shows him in ASCA conformation. He showed for the first time at the 2021 ASCA nationals! I decided to enter him in the pre-show to get him out and see how he handed a different handler than myself. And he did BEAUTIFULLY! Handling the ring even better than my wiggle monster, and earned himself a 4th place finish amongst a TOUGH class of 13 puppies!
My little dude is not exactly little anymore. Ratchet has proven that he can be piloted by anyone while Madie Williams showed him at the 2023 ASCA Nationals. He is well on his way to beginning his RTCH campaign as well as beginning to trial in agility.
