"First and foremost, the Australian Shepherd is a true working stockdog, and anything that detracts from his usefulness as such is undesirable. The most important breed characteristics are overall moderation in size and bone, balance with correct proportions, and sound movement." - ASCA Breed Standard

I have always been surrounded by animals. Horses or dogs they were always a huge part of my life. My dad worked ranches when I was younger, and my mothers side of the family was into rodeo. So naturally Australian Shepherds came with the territory. I fell in love with them for their protective attitude, willingness to please and their amazing beauty. And at the end of the day curl up in a ball cuddle and watch the disney channel. My family itself always had Australian Shepherds but they were always mixes. None purebred, or even well bred but amazing dogs all the same.

When I moved away from home for the first time to go to college I decided I needed a companion and naturally I went with an Australian Shepherd. In 2013 I purchased my first pure bred Aussie named Annie. While I had no experience training a dog like this for trials, or how to work Annie was always eager to please and quick to learn. While going to school I also worked ranches and managed a broodmare barn. Annie was always eager to help me bring the broodmares up in the morning. Annie was my constant companion in my first years living on my own and proved to be worth her weight in gold with her protective nature and pure happiness. I had one litter with her before she was hit by an ATV, and came back with major hip issues and I decided while she was an amazing mother and loves babies, that she would be happiest as the "grandma" of my brood.

Here at Heart Stoppin' Australian Shepherds I strive to maintain the versatility of the breed. I want dogs that can do it all, and while Annie was a great learning experience I knew I would need to do a lot more research to find the "type" I wanted for my program. I wanted dogs that were beautiful enough to make it in the breed ring, but have enough instincts to work on the ranch. It was not easy but I believe I have brought together some very nice bitches/dogs in order to bring my program to life. With Cut'n Loose, Lor A, Nineveh, Slash V, Slydrock, Malpaso, and many more in my lines I hope to make Heart Stoppin Aussies a well known stable within the industry.

I am currently located in Collinsville, TX. A member of AKC, ASCA and our local Heart of Texas ASCA club. Look for us in the Conformation, Rally, Agility and Stock ring!
